உள்ளற்க உள்ளம் சிறுகுவ கொள்ளற்க
அல்லற்கண் ஆற்றறுப்பார் நட்பு

Think not those shrink the mind; friendship
not those who abandon in hardship

Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Do not think the things, which trouble the mind! Similarly, do not have the friendship of those who abandon when hardship occurs!

Do not create the partitions, which destroy the humane! Similarly, do not accept the leadership of those who encroach while having authority!
