Chapter 021: Fear of Evil Deeds (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0201.  தீவினையார் அஞ்சார் விழுமியார் அஞ்சுவர்
           தீவினை என்னும் செருக்கு

           Evil people won't fear to do evil;
           but, scholars will do

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Evil people will not fear to do the evil deeds, which
           gives absurd happiness; but, the people with high qualities will fear to do such
           things.

           People who are used to corruptions will not shy to do corruption, which gives greedy;
           but, the people who love public welfare will shy to do corruptions.

0202.  தீயவை தீய பயத்தலால் தீயவை
           தீயினும் அஞ்சப் படும்

           As evil deeds cause evil, evil deeds
           be feared than fire

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: As evil deeds cause evil, the evil deeds should be
           feared by considering them as more dreadful than fire.

           As illegal relations increase indiscipline, the illegal relations should be averted by
           considering them as more dangerous than poison.

0203.  அறிவினுள் எல்லாந் தலையென்ப தீய
           செறுவார்க்கும் செய்யா விடல்

           Primary of wisdom is not doing
           evil deeds, even mutually

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The primary of all forms of wisdom is the rational of not
           doing evil deeds to others, even as mutual.

           The best of all kinds of quality is the humanity of not disrespecting others, even as
           reciprocal.

0204.  மறந்தும் பிறன்கேடு சூழற்க சூழின்
           அறஞ்சூழும் சூழ்ந்தவன் கேடு

           If we think evil, even by oblivion;
           ethics bring evil to us

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: We should not think of evil to others, even by oblivion; if
           we do, ethics will think of doing evil to us.

           We should not try to betray those who believed us, even by error; if we do, destiny
           will try to betray us.

0205.  இலன்என்று தீயவை செய்யற்க செய்யின்
           இலன்ஆகும் மற்றும் பெயர்த்து

           Shouldn't do evil due to deficit;
           if do, deficit increases

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: We should not do evil because there is not sufficient; if
           we do, the deficit will increase further from the current situation.

           We should not break the relationships since there is no happiness; if we break, the
           happiness in the other relationships will also decrease.

0206.  தீப்பால தான்பிறர்கண் செய்யற்க நோய்ப்பால
           தன்னை அடல்வேண்டா தான்

           Who don't want evil to themselves,
           shouldn't do evil to others

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Those who do not want the hardship yielding evil
           deeds, nearing to themselves, should have the persistence to not to do evil to
           others.

           Those who do not accept the doubt seeding incidents, happening to them, should
           have the zealous to not to have doubt on others.

0207.  எனைப்பகை யுற்றாரும் உய்வர் வினைப்பகை
           வீயாது பின்சென்று அடும்

           One can overcome any enmity; enmity
           from evil won't but destructs

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: One can overcome any kind of enmities; but, the enmity
           made out of evil deeds, will not disappear but will follow and destruct.

           One can get rid of any kind of bad habits; but, the addiction developed due to bad
           habit, will not decay but will evolve as side effect and kill.

0208.  தீயவை செய்தார் கெடுதல் நிழல்தன்னை
           வீயாது அடிஉறைந் தற்று

           Destruction of those did evil is sure
           like their shadow beneath

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Destruction of those who have done evil deeds is sure
           like their shadow attached to their foot, without any deviation ever.

           Failure of those who support terrorism is stable like their conscience popping the
           mind, without any irregularity ever.

0209.  தன்னைத்தான் காதல னாயின் எனைத்தொன்றும்
           துன்னற்க தீவினைப் பால்

           Those love their self shouldn't do
           even least effective evil

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If one love their own self, they should not do the evil
           deeds however less effective the deeds may be.

           If one is fond of their profession, they should not violate the rule whatever may be
           the level of violation.

0210.  அருங்கேடன் என்பது அறிக மருங்கோடித்
           தீவினை செய்யான் எனின்

           If someone don't do evil & unfollow unethical, 
           they are not impetuous

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If someone do not do evil by following the unethical
           path, they should be known as non-impetuous people.

           If someone did not lose the thought process by the habit of drugs, they should be felt
           as the people without sloth.
