தவமும் தவமுடையார்க்கு ஆகும் அவம்அதனை
அஃதிலார் மேற்கொள் வது

Penance is possible only for ethical people;
practice by rest is useless

Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Penance is possible only for those who have mental strength to follow ethics; it is useless if the penance is practiced by the unethical people.
