ஒழுக்கம் விழுப்பந் தரலான் ஒழுக்கம்
உயிரினும் ஓம்பப் படும்

As decorum gives predominance, it should be
considered greater than life

Vizhiyappan's Commentary: As the decorum gives an unique predominance, the decorum should be considered as greater than life; and it should be preserved.

As the parents bestow a peerless sacrifice, the parents should be treated as better than nature; and they should be admired.
