Chapter 046: Disconnecting Trivial Group (Vizhiyappan's Translation)

0451.  சிற்றினம் அஞ்சும் பெருமை சிறுமைதான்
           சுற்றமாச் சூழ்ந்து விடும்

           Elite fears the trivial group; inferior
           surrounds trivial as nexus

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The elites who have realized bliss, will fear for inferior who 
           aspire cheap-desire; whereas, the inferiors will surround those who aspire cheap-desire as 
           nexus.

           The formers who consider agriculture as life, will oppose the merchants who destroy the 
           farmlands; whereas, the merchants will add those who destroy the such farmland as partners.

0452.  நிலத்தியல்பால் நீர்திரிந் தற்றாகும் மாந்தர்க்கு
           இனத்தியல்ப தாகும் அறிவு

           Water resembles the land; knowledge of
           people resembles their group

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The nature of water changes following the characteristic of land 
           it unites with; similarly, the knowledge of people varies following the nature of group they 
           mingle with.

           The shape of molten-metal changes following the image of mold it is poured into; 
           correspondingly, the activities of a party depend on the characteristic of their leader.

0453.  மனத்தானாம் மாந்தர்க் குணர்ச்சி இனத்தானாம்
           இன்னான் எனப்படுஞ் சொல்

           One’s emotion depends on mindset; similarly,
           the surrounding categorizes someone

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The emotion of someone is dependent on their mindset; 
           similarly, categorization of someone will be made depending on their surrounding.

           The activities of children depend on the nature of parents; correspondingly, classification of 
           the ruler will be determined by their followers.

0454.  மனத்து ளதுபோலக் காட்டி ஒருவற்கு

           இனத்துள தாகும் அறிவு

           Knowledge appear like reflecting one’s mind,

           but becomes reflecting their group

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The knowledge of those who have unethical group, will appear 

           like reflecting their mind, but eventually it will become to reflect their group.

           The luxury of those who have unfaithful self, will demonstrate like showing their hard work, 

           but will end up in showing their corruption.

0455.  மனந்தூய்மை செய்வினை தூய்மை இரண்டும்
           இனந்தூய்மை தூவா வரும்

           Purity of mind & purity of action - both
           depend on purity of environment

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Purity of thought and purity of action - these both will be 
           determined depending on the purity of environment of someone.

           Sincerity of Parents and sincerity of Children - these both will be formulated based on the 
           sincerity of their ancestors.

0456.  மனந்தூயார்க் கெச்சம்நன் றாகும் இனந்தூயார்க்கு
           இல்லைநன் றாகா வினை

           Residue of pure-minded people become good;
           who have pure environment have no bad

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The progeny of those who have pure mind will follow the path 
           of good ethics; the actions of those who have good environment would never fail to be good.

           The extension of a flawless reign will be continued by good people; the party that has 
           flawless volunteers would never fail to be victorious.

0457.  மனநலம் மன்னுயிர்க் காக்கம் இனநலம்
           எல்லாப் புகழும் தரும்

           Healthy mind is productive for lives on earth;
           healthy environment gives all glory

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The strength of mind will be helpful for the development of 
           lives in the world; similarly, the strength of environment will lead to all kinds of glory.

           The growth of agriculture will lead to the economic solidity of the country; correspondingly, 
           the development of village will strengthen all factors for superpower.

0458.  மனநலம் நன்குடைய ராயினும் சான்றோர்க்கு
           இனநலம் ஏமாப் புடைத்து

           Despite good mental strength, healthy group
           is protection for scholars

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: Despite having more mental strength; the strength of the group 
           they depend on, will provide more protection to the scholars.

           Despite maintaining great self-discipline; the self-disciple of the people they rule on, will 
           give additional strength to the rulers.

0459.  மனநலத்தின் ஆகும் மறுமைமற் றஃதும்
           இனநலத்தின் ஏமாப் புடைத்து

           Healthy mind enhances the birth-benefit,
           healthy group protects that benefit

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: The birth-benefit of someone will be enhanced by the strength of 
           mind; and that benefit will be protected by the highly healthy group they belong to.

           The development of a company will be expanded by the work of labors; and that expansion 
           will be stabilized with the support of hard working union they belong to.

0460.  நல்லினத்தி னூங்குந் துணையில்லை தீயினத்தின்
           அல்லற் படுப்பதூஉம் இல்

           No better support than virtuous-group, nothing
           gives more sufferings than evil-group

           Vizhiyappan's Commentary: There is no better support to someone than a virtuous-group;  
           similarly, there is nothing that can give more sufferings to someone than an evil-group.

           There is no better protection to soil-fertility than the natural-fertilizer; correspondingly, there 
           is nothing that can provide more destruction to soil-fertility than the chemical-fertilizer.
