கடுஞ்சொல்லன் கண்இலன் ஆயின் நெடுஞ்செல்வம்
நீடின்றி ஆங்கே கெடும்

If king is merciless and speaks harsh, huge
wealth will decay without growth

Vizhiyappan's Commentary: If the ruler speaks harsh-words and be without mercy; the mountain-size wealth of people, will not have growth and decay sooner.

If the parents practice evil-deeds and be without discipline; the ocean-size power of youth, will not be useful and destroy faster.
